The GES R2 lends itself as an underfloor solution wherever a graceful look with simultaneously versatile functionality matters – whether in private dwellings, in public areas like shopping centres and lobbies or in car dealership showrooms. It further valorises high quality floor spaces too and supplies data and energy unfailingly to the precise place where they are needed.
- Space saving: With a diameter of only 140 mm, the GES R2 is a small space wonder.
- Loadable: The round floor socket withstands the highest loads up to 2 t. With its scratch and scrub resistant surfaces, it is robust and versatile.
- Multivariant: With assorted lid variants in plastic and metal, the GES R2 can be seamlessly integrated in a wide range of different coverings. With protection class IP66, the metal variants are also suitable for wet care floors indoors.
- Adaptable: Assorted lid opening variants allow adaptation to the use and cleaning requirements in the floor. The covers are available as hinged covers with locking slide, in the tube body variant with handle clamp and as blanking covers with hexagon socket.

The GES R2 has a modular structure and consists of a service outlet, installation socket and a level adjustable screed socket.

Installation socket for flexible installation options
The installation socket is available empty or pre-equipped. The pre-equipped variant contains either a double socket or a freely selectable combination of two single Modul 45 units. The installation socket pre-equipped with the double socket is particularly suited for standard applications. The variant for the two single Modul 45 units provides even more installation flexibility: In this variant, the installation space is disjoined – this allows simultaneous installation of two sockets and two multimedia connections like HDMI, VGA or data technology.
The right choice for every floor: The GES R2 cover variants
Handling the GES R2 is simple: The connection lines are inserted in the compact installation space and then that space is capped with a cover. To do the floor socket's diverse applications justice, the GES R2 covers are available in different colours, materials and with various opening variants. Depending on the cover version, the round floor socket can therefore be used in both dry and wet care floors.

The die-cast zinc variant with tube body is available surface-treated in the shades old copper, old brass, chrome and nickel, as well as in nickel-oxidised and jet black.
The tube body seals the closed installation space against the ingress of water, which occurs when the floor is cleaned. Even then, when the cover is open for the wiring, a seal in the lower ring of the installation socket provides protection against the ingress of water. In this way, the GES R2 floor socket in the die-cast zinc variant with tube body meets the requirements for service outlets in wet-care floors according to EN 50085-2-2 and is certified to IP66 in the unused state.
Blank version with metal cover
In this variant, the GES R2 is closed with a Blanking cover that can be opened very easily with a hexagonal spanner.
This way, it is particularly suitable for public areas and the supply of temporary installations.
Die-cast zinc variant with hinged cover for wet care floors
In the die-cast zinc variant with hinged cover, the GES R2 stands out thanks to its fine design and, in this version, is the perfect solution for high-quality floor coverings that are dry or wet care.
The locking function of the hinged cover allows a secure outlet for the cable routing. When closed, the floor socket is even suitable for wet care. This version of the GES R2 with hinged cover is available in the colours old brass, old copper, chrome, nickel, nickel-oxidised and jet black.
The plastic variant of the GES R2 for dry care floors
In the plastic variant, the GES R2 is suitable for dry care floors, like carpeted floors, and is frequently used in office and administration buildings. The colours iron grey and graphite black are available. The GES R2 made of plastic is available with two cover opening variants:
- The cover variant with cord outlet provides a permanent cable outlet for supplying the electrical resources.
- The cover variant with blanking cover that can only be opened with a screwdriver protects against inadvertent access. As a result, it is particularly suited for publically accessible spaces.
